I do not have children yet, and with me being tall and my husband being hobbit-size, I have no idea how tall my potential offspring will turn out. The height in my family clearly comes from my father’s side; at roughly 6’5ft/2m, he is the shortest of his brothers. My mum is 5’5ft/168 cm, so I guess it’s fair to say I take after my dad. Should my husband and I ever have a daughter and should she take after her dad as well, she has got nothing to worry about. 😉
I know that a lot of girls/women struggle with being tall, and wish for their daughters to be shorter. Yes, it has it challenges, and I do not always like it, but it is part of me, and I am proud of it. There are worse things in life to deal with, so rather than getting annoyed over my height, I embrace it, as worrying about it won’t make me any shorter. Not just yet anyway. 🙂
I came across the article below on Huffington Post, written by Ali Solomon. Obviously, I do not agree with number 6, but apart from that, it was quite a funny read, to which I could relate.
