Buying trousers or jeans is never my favorite thing to do, as I always struggle to find the right length, as I am sure other tall ladies will recognize.
I really needed new jeans, and the Hobbit talked me into fitting Diesel jeans. I wasn’t really convinced about that idea as he wears the men-version himself, and let’s be honest, he is a short arse (sorry honey…;)), so I wasn’t sure if Diesel and I would be a match.
The longest length size I could find was a 32, so I had almost given up before trying them on, as I would normally go for 36, but sometimes I get lucky at 34. Anything shorter than that isn’t even worth trying. The Hobbit, being quite persuasive, talked me into trying them on anyway and since I am always up for trying something new, off to the fitting rooms we went with various sizes and cuts of Diesel.
Though swearing by flared / boot cut jeans for years, I learned a while back that either skinny or straight cut jeans fit my shape best. Though currently back in fashion, flared jeans are often too short for my giraffe legs, and therefore make me look frumpy and dowdy (like those girls in films BEFORE they get a make over by their fashionable guardian angel).
Trying on clothes does not get me excited easily, as more often than not I get disappointed, but this time I, I was lucky: length size 32 turned out to be perfect and when I found the right waist size as well, I saw myself in the best fitting jeans ever. Now, Diesel jeans are a bit more expensive that what I would normally spend on a pair of jeans, but when you find your perfect match, you can’t let it get away. The model is the Rupee Super Slim-Skinny Low Waist and we are best mates since the day I met her. :). So all you tall ladies out there looking for your perfect jeans match: Diesel is your go-to brand.
