Unlike a lot of other tall ladies, I do not own one single piece that comes from a ‘tall’ brand (yet). It just didn’t happen yet, for no reason at all. I ordered a few ‘tall’ tees online years ago, I don’t remember where, but they were still waaay too short, so they went back. After that, I didn’t really give it a try anymore and I am doing quite OK, particularly in the dress and skirt department.
I might give the ‘tall’-brands a go for work trousers though, as I do have trouble finding those. Last year, I bought a pair of those 5/8 length trousers which work quite well I find, and I am OK for jeans too, but I am still after a classy pair of black trousers for work.
So, as said, I do wear a lot of dresses and skirts, as I am happy for those to be a few centimeters shorter, whereas trousers are quite unforgiving when too short, as you will all know. My skirts and dresses still need to be a decent length (just above the knee) to be able to wear to work though as I can’t (and won’t) rock up in mini-skirts at work. Yet the odd party dress can be a bit shorter as we do want to show off our great leggies occasionally. 😉
The brands that have worked for me so far are length-wise are Karen Millen, Ted Baker, Coast, Alexander McQueen, Donna Karan (albeit JUST long enough) and I even have one Versace dress that is at decent length.
The dresses in the picture above are all part of my wardrobe.
