October – The Prettiest Month

Two months from today, we will all be preparing for new year’s eve. Isn’t that simply…. ridiculous? November will be knocking on the door tomorrow, so it’s time for a quick look back at October, one of my favourite months (and favourite U2 songs). I love the change of seasons, the cozy dark nights, the colors outside and the colder weather, yet I didn’t mind escaping the wetter October weather for a bit either…

So off to Barcelona we went for a weekend! Not only was it fun to relax in this lovely city for a bit, it was even more fun to meet Pati of AntesAltaquesinsilla!

Another great meet-up I had, wasΒ with travel-blogger, globetrotter and travel-writer Jenny McIver, which was very inspiring and made my feet a bit itchy. I think the Hobbit and I need to have a little talk on travel plans for 2016!

October was also about two milestones for both me personally and my blog: my first column went live and I was asked to Β write a guest blog for Long Tall Sally. Both links you can find here!

Meeting up one of my besties who lives abroad and spending time with her at a castle where we had a little calorific high tea feast was pretty much a highlight too!

So a lot of fun stuff happened in October, but it also made me realise that I need to be a bit more serious about my health and staying fit. I can’t keep eating cupcakes, finding excuses not to go to the gym but expect to look like Famke Janssen. So I need to work on that healthy balance in my life a bit more disciplined, and I might start sharing that journey with you here on the blog.Β

November, see you tomorrow!!
