In my search for tall work out gear, the stars aligned when I was invited for an exclusive shopping event at the Björn Borg shop in Utrecht. Originally from Sweden, and named after the iconic tennis player, the brand focusses on underwear and sports gear. The website says “Our products are for urban fashion-conscious men and women who think that being active and making a difference is far more attractive than playing it safe.” That got me curious, and shopping after regular opening hours always excites me, so off I went.
We were welcomed with some bites and drinks, which came in handy as I came straight from work so I was a bit peckish (and slightly overdressed for a sporty event like this, but hey, rather overdressed than underdressed. 🙂 )
I came prepared and already had a peek online. The Scandinavians being tall people as well, I had my hopes up for finding a new pair of running pants. I did very much like the style of work out gear and I found myself locked in a changing room with all of these:
Though they don’t offer a tall range in particular, I was pleasantly surprised by the length of their work out pants.
Tights Peggy (above) didn’t make it home with me, but tights Penelope (below and pictured on top of this post too), did come home with me. When you find something properly long, you have take it home. That’s the law.
Björn Borg is predominantly present in Europe; it started to venture out to other markets over the recent years too, but the brand might be unknown to U.S. readers. Fear not: they do international shipping if you order online, so you can still give it a go.
The undies I found in the goodiebag are maybe less suitable for working out, but they sure are colorful.
I can’t wait to get out there in my new work out pants. Told you I’m easily motivated when I’ve got something fashionable to wear to the gym… 🙂
