May Days!

Mayday, Mayday, where has May gone? And where did another year ago? May is my birthday month, so before you stands sits an older woman than the one posting a month ago. πŸ™‚ It was a lovely month though, and looking back, I’m very happy with my achievements and thankful for the opportunities that have presented themselves over the last year. I’m not going to look back at a full year, we have December for that, but I will briefly look back at May!

May kicked off in Germany, where I went to Europatreffen, a gathering of Tall People in Europe. Though I only took part in part of the program, I had a great time with Sallee from Tall Guides and Beth from Tall Fashion Adventures. The highlight of the weekend was dressing up for the Gala dinner in an amazing custom MARGE ball gown skirt.

Beth and I also had so much fun doing photoshoots together and trying on each other’s clothes. I can hardly ever swap clothes with friends as I have tinyΒ short cute friends, so it was fun to share this experience! Beth took amazing pictures of me wearing the Jorgine dressΒ by MARGE clothing,Β  andΒ there’s more coming soon (including a treat for YOU! So make sure to check back here tomorrow)!

In the travel department, I was happy to show off a bit more of my beautiful country in my post about my holiday on Terschelling, one of the Dutch Islands. Β It was so relaxing, and I was happy no long flights were involved. I can’t wait to go back!

As we speak, I am in Dublin for work. I get to add two days to my trip to see a bit more of rural Ireland which I will share on the blog, no doubt! This again is one of those trips including work dinners, tempting buffets, and hardly time to work out. I need to keep making healthy choices while I’m there, so the post I wrote about staying healthy while traveling is really coming in handy when I need some motivation!

Speaking of traveling; a French TV crew came Β over to NL in April to film a travel program. Part of the show was about us Dutch people being so tall (duh), and together with a few other tall people,Β I was featured on the show. Or well, my legs were anyway… πŸ™‚

Make sure to check back here tomorrow, as I have exciting news coming up!
Can’t wait to keep sharing!!

    Hey Karen,

Loved reading about your month of May! You’re right, time is flying! Can’t believe it’s June tomorrow, the year has just started! You look amazing in the MARGE ball gown skirt. Wish we could have joined the Europatreffen but hope next year we’ll able to. I imagine it must be a cool feeling to be surrounded by only tall people and not stick out for once in a while πŸ™‚

Wish you a happy birthday month πŸ™‚
    All the best,
    Caroline

Phew! Hard to believe it’s been a month since our fun time in Nuremberg. You sure have fit a lot of great stuff into May! I always love reading your month-in-reviews since they usually include my 2 fav topics – tall stuff and travel. Excited to see what June holds. xo
